Is 200 miligrams of zanax enough to kill you?

umm....why are you asking? It's alot and probably would kill you. But then again I'm not a doctor. Do you need someone to talk to? You can email me. Please don't take 200mg of xanax. Many people will hurt and miss you and your life will be over because death is not reversible. Please talk to someone. You can email me like I said, I'd be more than willing to listen.

An R.N. told me you can not OD on Xanax, it will have you too sick before you get them down, and just knock you on your dumbass for awhlie

Probably so, but no matter how bad you might think it is, it is never bad enough to run from by killing yourself. There is always hope through Jesus Christ. You are special and life is worth the living no matter what. Seek professional help if you have some things that you wish to talk with someone about. Take care and God Bless

this is very dangerous. I have taken zanax in the past, and my dose was 0.5 mgs every 4 hours.
What was the dose, that was prescribed to you? I do know they make very strong ones, were they taken all at once, or throughout the day?
If you are able to sit and write this, you may be alright, But it is a dangerous level.
You need to give some more information, was this you, or someone else?

Considering that the highest doseage of Xanax is about 2 mg., I would be quite certain that 200 mg. would kill someone.

Yes, it will kill you. Hell, it would kill a horse. I have a friend who overdosed(thank god made it, on half of that) on it, and it's no picnic. You go into cardiac arrest, spasm, and vomit profusely; if you make it out, your muscles atrophy and you can't get out of bed for a few days. That is, if you didn't sustain brain injury from the cardiac arrest.

Don't O.D period, but certainly not on any medication for mental disorders.

xanax sweetie. please dont take that much. if your trying to kill yourself let me tell you that it will be a very horrible, painful death. you will choke on your own vomit and stop breathing. do you really want to die from choking on your own vomit?
