Yasmin Contraceptive Pill?

My doctor has changed my pill today from Mycrogynon (not sure how to spell it) to one called Yasmin.

Has anybody ever been on this pill. Did you have any side effects?

With Mycrogynan I have put quite a bit of weight on and I was very moody.

My doctor put me on Yasmin, after i had side affects from my other pill (trinordiol) bad headaches, sickness.
Yasmin worked fine for me.

I was on Yasmin before I stopped taking it to become pregnant.

I found that I was very emotional and had terrible mood swings a few days before my period, but to be honest that may have just been because I was a complete nut when due on anyway. I found that I didn't get spots when I was taking it (altho pregnancy is making up for that!!).

I used to try changing my pill all the time because my time of the month was so hormonal (whether I was on Yasmin or mycrogynon) but the doc told me that I had to wait 6 months because it could take that long to effect my hormones.

If you are not feeling to good at first, then give your body a little time to adjust. I always think changing your hormonal balance must be pretty hard for your body and it may react adversly at first.

I hope Yasmin works out for you :0)

I've tried many different types of the pill. I was on Yasmin before the one I am on now. Currently, I take Loestrin 24FE and it is the best pill I've ever taken. I have the fewest amount of side effects, it's almost like a miracle. I've taken it for six months.

With Yasmin, for the first couple of days I was fine. It cleared up my skin perfectly, but that was the only good effect. I got a bad yeast infection, I was extremely depressed, tired, as well as irritable like a ***** from hell. I took it for a month, then quickly switched when my boyfriend saw a commercial for Loestrin 24FE. I could not believe how much I liked it. You can get a coupon too from their web site to save a lot of money on your first pack.

But everyone's body chemistry is different, what is good for me or you may not be for someone else.

I was placed on Yasmin and used it for a year and half. I liked it. It did help with the weight gain that I experienced with pervious pills. You may experience side effects associated with the first few months of pill use (breakthrough bleeding, nausea, headaches, etc). This generally goes away as your body adjusts.

I loved yasmin. I actually lost weight on it, but come to think of it I did get a few yeast infections which is not normal for me. My sister is on it too and her face is cleared up!
