In order to build muscle .......here is what you need.....Protein, complex carbohydrates and weight lifting.......try to get 1-2 grams of protein a day. try to get 3-4 grams of carbohydrates a day. best sources of carbohydrates would be from fruits orwhole grain foods like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, potatoes are a good source as well. so, if you weigh 150 pounds you would multiply that by two and that would be 300 grams of protein a day. multiply it by four and that would be 600 grams of complex carbs a day. carbs are essential for building muscle and the reason is because they store in your muscle as glycogen. when you work out your body will use the glycogen instead of burning muscle for fuel. the protein gets used to rebuild your muscles. spread your meals out to around six meals a day and it will be easier to get the nutrition you need to build the muscle. you don't build muscle in the gym. it builds when you have already worked out and you are asleep so make sure you get around eight hours of sleep a night and drink about ten glasses of water a day.......your body is around 70 percent water.......do these things and you will grow......one more thing......take a one a day vitamine......good luck!!!

I don't think that carbs is the answer.carbohdrates are good if you want to store fat but the key is high protein diet bodytrim is a good diet to follow it goes back thousands of years to our ancestor's.Try eating veg, eggs and lean meats only six times a day at 150g servings for mains & 100g snacks

After millions of years of evolution the human body is a little more advanced and will always prefer useless bodyfat over using precious muscle tissue when energy reserves are low.
600gms of carbs per day will convert the average person into a blimp.
