What does yellow diarrhea mean?

If I have yellow diarrhea and no other symptoms - what is likely to be causing the yellow diarrhea?

Additional Details

Also I read it may have to do with liver function. But my urine color is normal - this morning it was yellow - I had two bottles of water and it was clear.

Food poisoning, stress, or fatigue. It just means that your body did not take its normal time digesting food, so the water wasn't reabsorbed in the intestines as it normally would be. Instead, everything rushed out. That means it couldn't obtain its normal brown colour from stercorubin (sp?) a substance which gives feces its colour in normal, slow digestion. Diarrhea is commonly associated with stress.

i would venture to guess that perhaps it is from something that you ate......fruit or veg that is yellow in colour.....but i think that if it continues you should go see a doctor or even call telehealth ontario...they are a great resource and will adviise you if you should/when you should get to the doctor or emerg........i had to call for my son about a year ago and they were great!!! hope you feel better and that this might have helped
