Im doing a study where Ill be given 30 mg of oxycodone and maltrexone for eighteen days. Will I have withdraw?
I'll be under constant medical supervision the entire time, I'd just like to know all potential risks they may have "forgotten" to mention. I'd prefer to avoid answers which simply speculate risks that they heard from a buddy but more looking for those whom have some solid book knowledge on the topic -thanks guys

Oxycontin is an opiate- by definition, you will be physically dependent upon it. You will have withdrawal symptoms, no doube.
I'm a substance abuse counselor- are you going into this for a pain study, or just because? Sounds very risky, esp. because you'll be stoned the whole time.

Depends on you tololance to the meds and if you are a deppendent person...in most cases no problem ..you should do a tapper anyway it is better on the body..you should allways tapper when you can .standard pratice ...if they do not tapper you your doctor is (*#@@***) and find a better one..good luck...you should be fine........hope you do not drink every day if you do you may like the feeling ....this is bad .....

30mg/day for 18 days is going to cause withdrawals if there is no taper.
