How do you determine if you're carrying "high" or "low"?

Question

I hear women talk about how they are carrying their baby. I have no idea if im carrying low or high...how do you know? im 29 weeks along and having a girl, but i was just curious

definitely much lower than right below my boobs for sure....is carrying low typical of having a girl? also, from your experience...was it more difficult to get your tummy back in shape after carrying low vs. high? im just curious

Well you should be able to tell by looking at your belly if its low it usually is pointing down a lil and if its high its stickin outwards more. Also is where do you feel her kicking? You should be able to tell by that to.

Im having a girl and carrying low, I read that if its low its more likely to be a girl.

well if your carrying high
above you pants waist band

and if your low

below your pants waistband

My first pregnancy I was high, so it seemed like my belly went out right under my boobs. This pregnancy I am carrying low and I have a gradual slope under my boobs and then my belly comes out. I hope that makes sense its kinda hard to explain...lol.

When I carried high I had a girl and I am low and I just found out monday that its a boy:)

If it's right under your boobs, it's high. If it's, well, lower...it's low. Some people carry right in the middle, though, so it's hard to classify. I'm pretty darn low. Like, part of my "bikini area" is kind pooching out too.

When you carry low, it looks like you have a basketball tucked in your tummy under your belly. Carrying high is right under your bust. I carried in the middle with my son so it looked like I swallowed a watermelon and it ended up vertical, centered on my belly button. How you carry has no indication as to what you're having in case you're wondering. Best of luck and I hope all goes well!
