Reba McEntire lost her band to a plane crash. Who was involved?
On March 16, 1991, Reba McEntire's entire band and supposedly the band manager all died in a plane crash. So far, the only name I have is Michael Thomas, buried in Hendersonville not far from Johnny and June Cash.
Exactly how many people affiliated with Reba or country music died on that flight, what were there names, and what significance did they have?

A great loss !!!
There is a memorial walk dedicated to the members linking Texoma Medical Center (where she was born) and The Reba McEntire Rehab Center which is downhill about 60 yards from the hospital.
The plaque on the ground lists the members and a comment by her.
Thank you lana.
I stand corrected. Reba was NOT born there. Her mother was given prenatal treatment at the pre-TMC hospital when no others in the area would. Hence, her terrific work for the Denison hospital and added buildings. My apologies.

Seven members of her band
McEntire was riding at the top of success, however, personally, her world would come crashing down in the spring of 1991. On March 16, 1991, a plane carrying seven of McEntire's band members and her road manager crashed killing all on board. McEntire was devastated. She dedicated her next album For My Broken Heart to the eight people who died in the crash and especially the final song on the album, If I Had Only Known. The album produced three of McEntire's most loved hits: Is There Life Out There, The Greatest Man I Never Knew and The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia. The theme of the song Is There Life Out There was adapted into a movie of the same name in 1994.

Reba has a memorial site in their honor in Denison,TX . It is at her hospital TMC (Texoma Medical Center). The memorial has all the names listed on it. It is located by her Reba Ranch House Rehabilitation center. If you yahoo Denison, TX chamber of comerce or TMC, it should tell you all about the memorial and everyone that was on the plane. Yes, her whole band was on the plane. She was supposed to be on the plane as well, but at the last minute something came up and she did not go. Lucky for all her fans. Reply to another answerer --- She was not born at TMC. She is from Oklahoma and attended college at SOSU (Southeastern Oklahoma State University) Which is about an hour away from where she grew up in OK. I am from that area and know her sister.
