Reglan (metoclopramide) during pregnancy?

Has anyone taken this for nausea? I was prescribed this last week but am hesitant to take anything (including Tylenol). I did take it twice, so far, and it seems to knock out the nausea completely. I read it was not known whether it was safe to use during pregnancy or not. My nausea isn't "that" bad. Your experience with this medications?

[Almost 9 weeks pregnant with number 2.]

Reglan is rated a "B" as far as medications go during pregnancy. That means it's probably safe, and has been used extensively with no known adverse effects to the fetus. You won't ever find any "definite" information on whether or not a particular drug is safe to take during pregnancy, because obviously it's too risky to perform experiments and tests when a woman is carrying a child. However...I was also prescribed Reglan, and my nausea and vomiting was quite bad at 5 weeks. I took it twice. The first time I took it, I didn't think it did much more than make me super tired (I literally felt drugged). The second time I took it, I had an allergic reaction. I had uncontrollable muscle spasms for six hours in my arms and neck. Luckily my baby was unharmed, and my neurological exam checked out fine, so all was okay. Most of my problem stemmed from outrageous heartburn anyway, so the doctor said just to take Pepcid AC (which is also rated a "B"). I hope you have much better luck with this medication than I did.
