I take a 20 mg pill in the am and another 20 mg pill between 12-2pm. I start my work day at 630-700am and it ends around 3-4pm.
I find that this is the perfect dose for me. However, before I realized this was the right dose, I needed to adjust my eating habits to allow the adderall to perform at it't optimum level. Let me explain.
I have found that I need to do the following; I take my am pill around 630-700am, I might eat something very small like a piece of toast but I may not eat anything either, I am not a morning eater unfortunately, I do drink about a half gallon of water throughout the morning hours. I do the same at lunch time, I always take my pill between noon & 2 at the very latest, I might eat a little, like a hot pocket chicken pie to go thing or just a little yoghurt or a french fry from McDonalds, and I also drink close to a 1/2 gallon of water in the afternoon. This is what works best for me, take a pill, eat a little bit of food to get that pill disolved and working.
This does NOT work, if I eat first and then take a pill, the pill won't be anywhere near as effective as if I eat after the pill. This I found to be very important. Same with the lunch time pill. I have to take the pill and then eat a little for it to be most effective.
So, key is, before you have your dose raised, try eating right after taking the pill and drinking lots of water.
Good Luck!
Oh, the best part other than being able to stay awake at meetings during the day at work and being able to focus on just about anything without any problems, is that I have been losing weight at a steady rate since I don't eat as much and I am more active.
