Husband bought RED SHOELACES, is it a bisexual or gay symbol, or a sign to meet?

My husband went on a "camping trip by himself" and came home with one red shoelace in his vehicle and the other one he brought in the house, and I found it very strange to say the least. I have many reasons to suspect he may be bisexual curious, which I won't go into at this time, but I have to wonder, does anyone know if a red shoelace would be used as a symbol to meet up... much the same as meeting a "blind date" when one may say "I'll be wearing a yellow shirt" or some such!? Just thought it might be a common thing. I want to be wrong, but it's just SO WEIRD!

If he ties it into a circle dies it purple stretches it out into an upsidedown triangle and displays it in his window you may have something to worry about. For now I think you are just being paranoid.

Certainly not anywhere I've ever heard from.

If you are fairly young (like 20's) it may mean that he's an anti-fascist -- that is the meaning that red shoelaces have among the punk, emo, and goth communities -- but that's the only meaning I've ever heard of attributed to red shoelaces.

I think perhaps, no offense, you are being paranoid.

yes, The red shoe lace is a definite symbol that most folks try to protect. I learned it the hard way.

One gay symbol I know of is a rainbow. People put rainbow colored decals on their car.
They ruined the rainbow for me! Instead of god's great awesome wonder I think of gays when I see one.

i dont think it means anything about being gay but the one thing i do know about red shoelaces is that alot of skinheads where them to show that they are hatefull against other races and they tend to where red shoelaces in thier doc martin boots and lace them all the way up but thats the only thing i can think about with red shoelaces...
