How can i keep my face from getting shiny on the bus?
Recenty it has been pretty hot and when im on the bus (which is like 100 degrees on the inside) my face gets shiny. Like my forhead, under my eyes, my chin, and my nose (but my nose is always shiny, strangely its not oily its actually kindof dry...).... Annnyway does anyone know how to keep it from getting shiny? I've already been using pressed powder, shine preventing moisturizer ect... help?

use the powder right before you get off....it absorbs the shine (sweat) and if you get the right kind, will keep you from getting shiny through the day....i recomend cover girl pressed powder...i sweat alot and ever since i started using it, i've noticed a big difference!

- Thanks everyone for answering! I picked you because it sounded like you had some experience I think ill get some of those blotting sheets and that sounds like a good powder. Im using cornsilk pressed powder but i might try that kind. Thanks!

Clean and Clear makes great oil blotting pads that take away shine.

They actually make special make-up to tone down the shine of your face. I don't know whats its called, but its pretty much a foundation, so you would apply it normally with your other make-up. Hope that helped!

a simple solution is pressed translucent powder. A cheaper brand such as NYC or Covergirl will work fine. Use the foam pad to brush the powder on oily areas.
Next, I highly recommend that you buy some Sea Breeze. Wipe your face down when you get home, removing any excess oil. Not only will your face be cleaner, but you will be preventing any future pimples.
Good Luck!

Get those little oil blotch papers, they work great and you can find them by face products in lots of stores. Hope they work for you! =)

I think that the shine those products prevent is oil, which when your skin is too oily that means you use salicylic acid and whatnot to get the grease and all cleared up. However, when you're eon the bus that's usually sweat, and if you're on a super hot bus it's going to be hard to keep from sweating. However, you might want to try using these Clean & ClearOil Abosrbing Sheets, they are these little thin pieces of paper that are designed to absorb face shine and they help a little bit. They also are relatively inexpensive.

Have you tried using a translucent powder. I personally haven't tried it yet (i just wear powder) but i hear it's supposed to set your foundation and prevent shine. I'm not sure if this is true but ask a professional at like Sephora or Mac or at a beauty store or even the beauty section at a department store and see what they think/say.
