BSNL tarang, cant get it connected to internet right!!!?

Question

I have a BSNL tarang phone : HUAWEI T1 ETS2288. I have applied for net and i got the USB cable and modem cd and i have installed all the modem softwares perfectly as directed and configured the phone correctly too.
The problem is that,i got a paper with instructions on how to use it.
In it theres STEP III :
1) Start>Settings>Control Panel>Network and Dial up connections>Make new connections.
2)Press Next.
3)Select "Dial-up to private network" and press 'Next' until 'Finish'.
4)Right click on the dial-up connection and select 'Properties'.
5)Select 'Configure'.
6)Select the 'Maximum speed' as - 115200> for 172233 Dial up, -230400>for #777 high speed internet.
Now iam using windows xp professional, i am having hard time finding "dial-up to private network" option and other options later following.
I tried making oridinary internet connection and everything seemed ok. But after dialling comes veryfying username and password, there it says computer did not repsong.
Plz help...plz plz plz/

In XP too in control pannel > network connection> create aconnection you will get dial up creation option then you can proceed.


But after dialling up if the error shows remote computer not responding then you definitely contact to costumer care

You are having a Broadband connection.
The modem supplied may be SmartAx MT882.
