It's very difficult to do it alone. You need help, it's a powerful addiction. Please see a doctor who specializes in addiction recovery (your PCP care refer you to one).He can guide you through the process.

Oxy withdrawl can be very bad. You may have vomiting for the first couple of days, all over body aches, sweating, headaches, shaking, diarrhea, & irritability. The symptoms can take up to 7 days to to stop, but they should all start to taper off after 2 or 3 days. There is something you can do to help flush your body. Drink a lot of water. Also pedialite or gatorade as long as you are vomiting to keep your body hydrated. Its actually best to taper yourself down instead of quitting cold turkey. Withdrawl from any drug can cause a stroke or a heart attack, but its pretty rare. I went off of them and felt fine in just 4 days, but I had 0 body fat, so it was easier on me than most people. Good Luck and Stay strong, you can do it, just don't give in or give up.

I used to take oxys, percocets, and Fentanyl patches. Free of all three. I didn't take all three at the same time, I am a chronic pain patient.

Anyone that says the withdrawl only lasts a few days has never had a true dependence on opioids. The living hell does not start until the third day, and it gets worse and levels off about day 10. You will not sleep. You will not eat. You will cra p alot, and it will not be fun.

DO NOT STOP COLD TURKEY. This isn't tobacco. Taper off with the assistance of a professional, and be prepared with a support network to help you through the next few months.

Yours may not be that bad, you were on less than a year.
    Good luck.

Been there, done that. Chronic pain sucks, the meds stop working, you stop taking them, you move on.
