Is this antibiotic, Cephalexin 500MG affected by the consumption of alcohol?
My frind wa taking it but stopped about 12hr ago and hi is having some tequila shots and beers, is this safe???

Yep he should be fine. However it is going to lower you imunity to things. Just don't fall off anything and cut yourself, or go play in a junk yard! :)

NEVER mix antibiotics and alcohol. I would wait 48 hours before consuming alcohol.

Ok this medication is used when some one has a virus. While taking this medication it's advised NOT TO DRINK ALCOHOL.
If your on this medication and you do drink it could have serious affects on your heart and repository systems. I would advice your friend to stop drinking intimidate.
If he starts having trouble breathing or chest pains take him to the ER!

alcohol does effect that anit biotic what is does is reduces the fighting power of the antibiotic for which there is a reason for you to be taking i.e. gum infection, sinus infection , cut infection, what ever reason you are taking you are diminshing what is supposed doing for you. by the way if you are a female on birth control pills or patches...antibiotic diminish your protection from getting pregnant so if you female dont go off having sex thinking your safe your not.
