it might not cause problems when your trying to get pregnant but it well cause problems during pregnancy!!!

I would talk to your doctor because both drugs are harmful to take when you ARE pregnant, so I would think that if you are trying to get pregnant you doc. would want to take you off these to insure a healthy pregnancy. Please check out the links at the bottom!!!

Effexor XR® (venlafaxine XR) is a pregnancy Category C medicine, meaning that it could potentially cause harm to your unborn child. This is especially true during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Clonazepam is in the FDA pregnancy category D. This means that it is known to be harmful to an unborn baby. Do not take clonazepam without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment.

I found a sight you should check out(its about panic attacks and pregnancy) it looks like it could help you out!!!--->

I know Clonazepam can be damaging if you get pregnant because it is a pregnancy class D (the most damaging for fetuses). You shouldn't be trying to have a child if you are taking this drug because it can cause birth defects or miscarriages. You also shouldn't stop abruptly stop taking the drug--you need to discuss this with your doctor whether obstetrician or psychiatrist. Good luck!

I'm sure that there are drugs that are at least more safe than the Clonazepam. There are 4 classes, ABCD, that categorize a drug's effect on a fetus. Not a doctor (a law student actually) so I'd just check with your doctor before you try to get pregnant because I know weaning off a drug and switching to another can be a pretty drawn out process (I have done this before!) Hope everything works out for you!
