List 3 distinct reasons why religious child indoctrinization is wrong.?

Question

I know it is bad, I am just writing a persuasive essay to my highschool class about why Child Indoctrinization should be outlawed. I am an atheist but I told my teacher the essay would not have religious bias. Lastly, I am not mooching off of you people. I have an entire outline drawn, I just want 3 strong reasons and am willing to revise the ones I already have.

Dang people, I already have my own paper ready to be written. I don't want to hear your reasons for why religious child indoctrinization is ok either.

Also, I never said Child Indoctrinization with Atheism is ok. That would just make the kid ignorant.


Besides, the kid would become an atheist anyway if he came to religion with an unbiased approach. XD

hmmm....I'll try.

1- they have a stronger chance of not believing it when they are older

2- they have their own religious freedom

3- they should be able to choose what they personally believe

they aren't any good.

1.) Children are not educated or experience enough to make an informed decision.

2.) Terrifying children with threats of punishment and torture in Hell could be argued to be a form of mental child abuse.

I am an Atheist and I disagree with you 100%. you are wrong. A childes education should be the responsibility of his parents. The problem is you want the child indoctrinated in what you bealive is right. As long as the parents of a child sees that it gets a basic education his religious upbringing should be solely the responsibility of the parents. Why should you be allowed to indoctrinate the child in your beliefs?
