Is there a secret to cooking sausage balls ?
I burn mine and they still do not get as well cooked as I want them.

Mix the Bisquick, Raw sausage and grated sharp cheddar cheese together to form balls. Place them in a 350 degree oven until browned (bubbly). I sometimes like to add a little sage to mine and finely chopped sweet onions.
Maybe the reason you feel they do not ever get done enough is because you are not comfortable working with raw meat like that. The balls cook, the inside should be tender and moist, not crisp.
If you break up those little pieces of sausage and distribute them evenly throughout the mixture as you form the balls then they will cook evenly and be perfect.
I generally leave mine in for about 20-30minutes each batch. Make them all the same size so they all cook evenly.

Lower the heat and cook a little longer - turn then a couple of times.

Use a light colored sheet to bake them on. You may want to lower the heat and bake them a little longer. A pizza stone works well, also.

Sometimes I add in a little water or milk to the mixture to help it bind a little better. I would also suggest that you turn down your oven and maybe cook them a little longer at a lower temperature.

Have you check to actual temp. in your oven ? the temp could be off from what the temp. dial says.If the temp. is accurate just turn the temp down by 25-50 degrees and bake a few minutes longer than directed. A few years ago I started burning everything I baked.I found out my oven temp was about 30 degrees hotter than what I had set the temp. dial to.Now I just set the oven temp. a little lower than what the directions call for.
