Just make hot cocoa, but use heavy cream or half and half in place of some or all of the milk. If you're using water instead of milk, that's half your problem.

Drinking Chocolate (very thick, smooth and yummy)
2, 1/2 ounce each unsweetened chocolate squares from a baking bar.
    2 tablespoons hot water
    1/4 cup sugar
    dash of salt
    1/4 cup warmed milk
    1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place chocolate and water into double boiler (I use a metal bowl over a pan filled 1/3 full of water turned to med/high). Melt stirring till smooth. Stir in sugar and salt blending thoroughly. Gradually blend in milk. Heat, stirring occasionally until hot. Stir in vanilla. Pour into your serving vessel and serve immediately.
TIP: I garnish mine with a few fresh mint leaves or add a bit of peppermint extract in place of the vanilla.
