Transgender/Transexual question: Is he/she gay?
I had a quirky male colleague who once brought his wife to work. The wife was very masculine and everything believed she was really a man. A couple of months later, someone at work said he knew a friend that used to work with the wife. And the wife was a man that one day came to work as a woman. So this means, she is transgender/transexual, right?
So my questions are:
1). Does that mean the wife is gay? Because he was originally a man and likes men?
2). Does that mean the husband is gay? Because he is a man and likes men? But if he likes men, then why is he going for a man that looks like a woman?

The wife was born a gay man and has surgically made herself a straight woman to match who she felt she was on the inside.
The husband is straight and is just very open minded.
Unless, they met when she was still a he. Then he's gay and is just sticking by the man he loves.

Maybe your colleauge is just open minded about these things.
Maybe he believes that its the person you fall in love with - not the gender.

Well if he is in the process of becoming a woman and transgender then they would technically be a straight couple.
If it was two males in a relationship then yes he is/was gay depending on the status of his wife. If she trans then they are now in a man and woman relationship regardless that he was a man before.

The man is totally heterosexual... Normally gays don´t go out with us transsexual girls. I always dated straight men and a few bisexuals...

In the UK, under the Gender Recognition Bill, it is a criminal offense to reveal/speculate on someones previous gender. If the guy introduces his wife she is probably his wife. Transexuality (pre-post operative) has nothing to do with sexual orientation.
If the 'wife' was really a cross dressing man, it would be very rare, as most cross dressers are straight.
In any case, if you are that interested, why not ask your male colleague? If he is open and honest enough to bring his partner to work, then give him the respect not to discuss her behind his back.
Good Luck.

A woman (transsexual or otherwise), in a sexual relationship with a man (transsexual or otherwise) is clearly NOT gay.
Likewise a man (transsexual or otherwise)in a sexual relationship with a woman (transsexual or otherwise) is not gay.
Gay is man/man, or woman/woman.
I think you really need to learn what transsexualism is, and what homosexuality is, and why they're NOT the same thing.

In my opinion,
Yes, the wife is gay she was born biologically a man and is with a man.
Yes the husband is gay, because he is with what used to be a biological man.

they're both gay. i'll answer both questions
1. of course. he got a sex change BECAUSE he likes men
2. yes. some gays are transexual but he's still gay and probably still has a penis.

She is transgendered... unless she has had surgery.
1) Yes the wife is gay because he likes men.
2) No the husband is not gay. He likes women. Unless when they first hooked up the wife was a man. Then I would assume the man is bisexual.
