Well, looks like this question and answer sessions seems to have been engineered solely to try to smear and ridicule Obama. It's, well, kind of too bad. Just in case anyone chances on this page by accident and has a genuine interest, then I'll add this to what TomV said above (and no, my name is TomY but no relation) Having been in the US Senate only 3 years now, Obama does not have a long record there, but he's accomplished a lot even in that time. Among other things, he co-sponsored key pieces of legislation with Democrats, as well as senior Republicans such as John McCain and Richard Lugar, for example this one: http://obama.senate.gov/press/070111-lugar-obama_non/ . His fuller senate record is available online, at http://thomas.loc.gov/ . (And I'm trying to insert the exact thread among the sources below.) In his 8-year career in the Illinois senate, he sponsored or co-sponsored 800 bills. (Yes 800.) A fuller newspaper article about Obama's legislative history, including in Illinois, is here: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/30/us/politics/30obama.html?_r=1&oref=slogin
