Ok, I guess I have a generation gap question.?

Question

What is the difference between these fashion types: emo, boho, grunge and punk? I thought punk and grunge was basically the same, but I have no clue on boho and emo.

Emo fashion includes lots of black, tight, skinny-leg jeans, band t-shirts, straight hair (preferably dark), lots of heavy eyeliner. Sort of like goth, but less creepy...in my opinion anyway :)

Boho is short for bohemian. Boho are similar to hippie looks: long flowing or tiered skirts, ethnic touches like tunics or wood jewelry, embellishment with beading or spangles, fringed handbags, jewelled or embellished flat sandals. The look is often layered and colorful. Think Sienna Miller and Mary-Kate Olsen.

Grunge fashion was influenced by grunge music, which was popular in the 90's. Includes plaid flannel shirts, stonewashed blue jeans, and dark colours like maroon, forest green, indigo, and brown. Sort of gives the "I really don't care what I'm wearing" vibe.

grunge is very 90s (like Nirvana style)
boho or bohemian is kind of free spirited like an updated hippie
emo is having your hair cover your face and lots of black-very "look at me" depressing
punk involves a lot of plaid and metal, very 'out there' I don't care what you think look
