Eggs are actually a very important food to eat during pregnancy and perfectly safe so long as the egg is cooked and not runny......Two eggs per day is your total intake of protein needed and is very good for you. Hope this helps..

My doctor told me several times when I was pregnant "If your craving something you most likely need something out of it so you can eat it just don't overdo it"

Buy pasteurized eggs at the grocery store and then it is a complete nonproblem. Look for the cartons that are shrinkwrapped. Your chances of getting salmonella from an egg are extremely small, but if you are concerned, pasteurized works. They don't whip as well, however, so you will likely need cream of tarter.
I personally would just use regular eggs. The chances of your becoming ill from a single egg are extremely small (even according to experts), but it is a concern when groups of eggs are batched, such as commercially.
