A Security Warning.?

There is a message going out to different Yahoo Groups advertising and suggesting that you join a new group called GROUPLY. This group claims to help manage all your Yahoo groups and you will get a summary, at the end of the day, telling you what is going on in all your groups.

IF YOU JOIN THIS GROUP they use your Yahoo ID and password to post "mass mailings" and send them to anyone, and since it's YOUR ID they are using, others will think it is coming from you.
Again, IF YOU HAVE JOINED THIS GROUP called "GROUPLY" IMMEDIATELY Leave the Grouply then
go into your http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups and change your password. Unsubbing from that group won't make a difference, they already have what they want (but I think you will want to) so change your Yahoo Password.
By joining this group you have also exposed all your groups, group members and group leaders to hacking of their emails, and group information.

Additional Details

I realise this is not a question. But it is the only way I can pass on the warning I received this morning.

I had no intention of starting a flame war. Just passing on a warning I received from what I believe is a reliable souce.
DON'T JOIN GROUPLY. IF YOU GET A GROUPLY-RELATED EMAIL, DELETE IT. No technically they don't "spam" because you have inadvertently given them permission to "invite" ALL members of your group to their site using your name. Semantics, schmantics.

Excuse me but how can joining one yahoo group be different to another. I joined that Yahoo Group many months ago and have had no problems.

You mention hacking, do you really mean that since even the most ardent critics have never mentioned such a thing.

There is however a service called Grouply and they ask for your Yahoo ID and password, but they have never ever done any mass mailings. Also they look after such details in, for example an encrypted and secured database and guarantee your privacy in their privacy statement, backed by TrustE.

For authoritative information from the company themselves visit http://blog.grouply.com/rebuttal and you can also our their registration on http://www.truste.com
