Frequent bowel movements at the end of pregnancy?

During my pregnancy, I had the normal constipation thing going on, but now that im 37 weeks pregnant, I have been having a lot more frequent bowel movements lately and it almost seems like right after I eat something...it comes right back out in no time! (sorry so graphic) I have read that when this kind of thing happens, your body is cleaning itself...like a self cleaning system sorta' thing which also means the baby is coming VERY soon thus settling the minds of us mothers-to-be of not going number 2 on the delivery table infront of everyone, is this true the baby is coming soon because of this?

Yep. It could mean that the baby might be coming in the next couple of days. I had diarrhea for two days before my water broke.

I always heard that and with my first it was the same way a day or two before he was here....sounds like you'll see him/her soon....Congrats!

Yes, this is true I am 38 wks and have the same thing for almost 2 wks now

I started having diahrea about a week-two weeks before I had my kids. It is your body cleaning itself out but it doesn't mean your going to have the baby tomorrow. It can take weeks before you have the baby. Your body is just getting ready. It can also be your nerves because you know it's getting close to that time.

I started having diarhea about a week before I had my son... and I was like you... no sooner then it went in it came out... I dont think it means you will have you baby tomorrow or anything... just know that you will probably have it here in the next week or so... and your right it is your body cleaning itself out... which does come in very handy when your in labor!
