Can someone give me the gist of Operation Chaos?

Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham have been telling republicans to register as dems and vote in dem primaries, and have been picking whether they should vote for Hillary or Obama, in order to skew each race the way the GOP would like it best. Ingraham was actually laughing about in an interview the other day. They call it Operation Chaos becasue they are are messing with the numbers nad the outcomes of the democratic primaries.

Be forewarned - EVERY question I've asked about this or answered referring to it has been deleted. Especially when I referenced Karl Rove's LONGTIME publicly admitted participation in GOP dirty tricks squads.

The really pathetic thing is )and you can see some of the answers right here) is that conservatives seem to think it's ok to interfere with american citizens picking their candidate for political office. I personally consider it to be criminal activity, AND what if the wrong person gets electedbecasue of this? Then what? Who takes the blame for us having a crappy president? And who cleans up the mess?

ok, here is my thought on the subject... being as impartial as i can... the democrats are in a twit, they cannot choose between a liar and a bigger liar with more experience at lying... so they struggle till the end of the primary... operation chaos is to prolong the silly contest between the two liars making them look stupid longer.... i think it is kind of funny too watch... and will make for a good rerun during the general....tah da

Rush Limbaugh and other Right wingers called on Republicans to Vote for Hillary, and drag out the democratic party's primaries, in hope it will tear the party apart. Which seems to be working.

Rush is a far right entertainer, and gets paid big bucks to get people like you angry. You hear the same kind of crap on Air America and Move on.org on the far left. I *think* ...and this is hearsay...that the deal is that the Pennsylvania Republicans are re-registering Democrat to muck-up the April primary. Deadline is this Monday. And then, Rush is going to sit back and watch the real Democrats (ex Pelosi, Clinton, Obama, etc) continue to destroy themselves, taking down the party with them.

rush wants to sway the vote in favor of Clinton because he thinks McCain has a better chance to beat her. he is having his listeners vote for her in the primaries. its scary but some of the things rush says makes sense. he is not as bad as what people think.

It's a GOP approved (because they haven't said one word against it) attempt by right wing activists to interfere with an american electoral primary.

In other words, if this was happening in Somalia or Rwanda... we would be sending troops there to stop it (election monitors) like has been done many times in the past. But becasue it benefits the loser GOP leadership - they're all for it.

Anybody who dosen't like my answer - answer me this - WHY
has McCain, Rove, Bush, Cheney Rice or anyone else in the GOP leadership come out and condem this as un-american activity??

It's one more indication that Neocon republicans have waivered from the American way of life - they are willing to commit actions that interfere with their own countrymen and -women having the ability to decide who they want to run for leadership positions.

Legal or not - messing with an electoral process is not tthe American Way of doing things.

The strategy of Op-Chaos is to create much infighting amongst the democrats, thereby weakening the party , and weakening the two candidates (Clinton and Obama) by any means necessary. Ultimately, the goal is for the Democratic Convention to be forced into unprecedented and riot-causing methods to pick their candidate. If the super delegates pick Hillary even though obama got the most popular votes, all hell would break loose and the democrats would literally be rioting in the streets, and it could be VERY ugly and even deadly.
This would ruin the democratic party for a generation or more - we're talking DECADES.

The current tactic to bring about this end, is for Republicans to vote for Hillary in the PRIMARIES (not the general election of course), since she's the under-dog. This will strenghten Hillary and weaken Obama and make an ugly convention even more likely.

McCain will defeat either Hillary or Obama if they are both bloodied and half of the democrats get pissed off and either don't vote, or vote for McCain on priciple.
