There is NO time that you can have unprotected sex and not worry about getting pregnant. You can get pregnant at ANY time of the month.

It's not true. Do that and you have a very GOOD chance of getting pregnant.

Whether it's seven days after your period starts, or seven days after your period ends, the sperm inside you can live long enough to impregnate you after you ovulate. You don't avoid pregnancy merely by avoiding sex on your so-called "fertile" days. You avoid it by keeping the sperm out of you altogether, on any day of the month. Because they can live for several days, in some cases as long as a week.

And it's always possible to ovulate early, late, or twice in any given month.

There is never a "safe" time to have unprotected sex. You can get pregnant while on your period, before your period, or after your period.

A woman is most likely to get pregnant day 11-20 of her menstrual cycle. You need to research a thing called the rhythm method, or ovulation cycle.

There really is no safe time unless of course you use condoms, or are on the pill. I am sure there is more than one female, me included, who can tell you relying on what was once called the Rythym Method has resulted in a surprise pregnancy.

It varies for most women, but usually between days 10-17 of the cycle you can get pregnant. Thats means starting 10 days after your period and up to 17. You can easily find out your fertile days by using a basal body thermometer. There are many websites that tell you how to use it and how to keep track. One is fertilityfriend.com. There are also other signs of fertility like egg white discharge. Its not a completely foolproof method since sperm can live longer than expected. But understanding how your body works in this way can take away a lot of the mysteries.
