How do you cut your own hair in layers?

Question

hi, i have a question about cutting my own hair. i am only 14 so i dont have that much money and i realy realy need to get my hair cut (becuase of people at school and stuff, and also it is getting realy hard to manage). i asked my parents if i could go to a hair salon but they said no and they said that if i wanted to get my hair cut i have to do it myself or go to a salon myself and with my own money. but i know that would never happen becuase i cant get alot of money and also because i would have nobody to go with and i im too scared to go on my own.

so how can i cut my own hair in layers or in a step cut (when it gets shorter near the front of my face)????

dont cut your own hair,it will most likely go wrong.lots of salons need models and they would cut your hair free and the trainees would be very grateful to have you to practice on.the trainees would be watched closely so dont worry.also,dont be scared to go on your own,you will feel so much better when your hair is cut,really you will.be brave get on the phone and ring some salons up now.good luck xx

well its really hard to cut your own hair unless u've had a ton of practice or training
so i'd ask like friends parents, neighbors, or u could like practice on old dolls if u have any and pracitce on them so then u'll have more practice

Go around the neighbor hood and do some jobs.
In one or two houses, you'll have what you need to get your hair done, and then some.
Don't do it yourself, then you'll REALLY need to go to the salon.

It's not a good idea for you to cut your own hair, especially if it has some length and you want a particular style. Can you ask one of your parents to help you or another family member? I suppose you could cut a fringe yourself but don't try to do it all yourself, it would be a nightmare. If you have a friend who likes doing hair, you could ask them for help too. Good luck.

Your parents are a bit harsh if they wont pay for you =/
Go round asking people if you can walk their dog, or just do a few jobs for them to get money to go to a salon. DONT do it yourself, it might turn out really bad then you'll regret it :)

Dont attempt a layered cut yourself or you'll end up looking like a scarecrow. What about a mobile hairdresser for a wet cut. Shouldn't be too dear.

well I'm not gong to say this is easy but i am a hair dresser so let me just tell you first ask you mum if you can buy something extremely fluffy and practise on that buy three or four and keep on practising just do it small to long its quite simple to me bye hope it works see you bye
