Dark brown vaginal discharge?

im 14, i havent started my period yet, im a virgin and i just today i have noticed some dark brown vaginal discharge
what is it?
should i be worried?

No that is your period or just some spotting meaning you are likely to begin your period anytime now

It could just mean that you're going to start your period very soon. COlored discharge is usually a sign of infection when it is accompanied by an odor. If the discharge really stinks or has a funny smell...see a doctor. They will give you antibiotics and it will be gone. If it doesn't smell, then congrats, you're becoming a woman...haha

That's probably old blood coming out like spoting...so more then likely your period is soon to follow. No there is no need to be worried

No, don't be worried, sounds like to are experiencing some "spotting", that is small amounts of blood which mix with your normal discharge turning it slightly brown in colour. I would think it is likely you will start your periods shortly. This actually could be your first period, my daughter had the same a few months ago and has had it twice since then, she is only 10 though so I asked the nurse and she said it was a period, though a very, very small one. Read up on periods and their other associated symptoms so you know what to expect.

I'm sure it's normal it is possible that you are starting your period, most women have a brown discharge before they get it
