I was standing at a bus stop yesterday and this British couple came up and asked me when the next bus came. I noticed how crooked and yellow their teeth were and I knew instantly they must be Brits. Sure enough...

Most people attribute our so-called "bad teeth" to the national healthcare system and the high price of orthodontics in Britain. Plus, we drink loads of tea, which isn't too good on the pearly whites.

Yes, even we notice the difference between Americans and Brits when they smile!

there is an element called fluorine in tea. the brits are know for drinking tea. Too much fluorine can rot the teeth.

Don't judge all British like that. It's not a whole country who has bad teeth. It's people theirselves. My teeth are white thank you very much. I'm sure there's some in every country who have yellow teeth.

Sounds to me as if you are judging all the British on one couple which is rather bias of you, i am sure that some other countries have bad teeth not just the British, i wouldn't mind betting that some Americans also have bad teeth, but then vanity would come into play my guess is they are the most vainest people in the world. You only have to look at that program "Dancing with the Stars" and all you could notice was mouthfuls of teeth and big ones at that, and half of them didn't look natural.

For a start, "natural" teeth are not perfectly straight and day-glo white, thats just something stupid vain ignorant Americans like you beleive.

For another thing, just having teeth which are not perfetly straight and day-glo white does not make them "bad" or rotten!! Again, only stupid, ignorant vain Americans like you think that. Your teeth can be perfectly strong and healthy without having lots of expensive and pointless cosmetic treatments on them.

Cosmetic dentistry is not as big in the UK as it is in America. We have better things to spend our money on than tooth bleaching and straightening.

Stop generalising a whole country on one very out of date stereotype.
