What does the word 'sexy' mean when a guy uses it with a girl he doesn't know

When you call a girl sexy through texting are you trying to compliment her or telling her that you want a casual relationship? He's mentioned the word sexy 3 times whilst we've been texting. He is joking around because he always says 'lol'.

But if a guy uses this word is there any chance that he would want to meet up, and go on a date, no sex. Or is he definitely looking for just sex? I met this guy and he text me the next day. We've been texting every day and yesterday he said we should meet soon...Then he text yesterday evening saying he was out & he'd give me a call. Am I free? I didn't meet him cos I was at a friends.. but I don't know what his intentions are.
