I don't know where to start. I'm 27 and grew up with his music, as my parents were fans. Dancing around the lounge room at age four to Thriller on vinyl, watching Moonwalker, learning the Dangerous album word for word and watching each new music video in awe, especially Black or White and Scream. I was a little girl who loved to sing and dance, and Michael's music was the soundtrack to my childhood. I looked up to him. Rest in peace, Michael.

My favorite albums were Bad and Thriller..I had an immense crush on him. Still cannot believe he has passed away. I am still in shock.

I took my kids to a concert years ago, and we all had a wonderful time. It was before his self mutilation and starting his adventure to becoming the freak, that he sadly turned into.
I hope that his children had more of a fun life than I envision them having and hope that they will not be put through a media circus again due to this.
Im sorry he turned so strange. In his better days, he was a fun and very talented performer.

oh my goodness, i wasn't much of a fan my dad was though, he made me check the news for him , his music was great and its just, unbelievable that hes gone.

Gosh, he was a brilliant artist, my fav. song by him is def. Who's loving you and Rock my world. pitty had to go so soon. It'd be kool if some the posters showed a least bit of sympathy.

I miss him.
Its kinda unbelievable that hes gone.
I never really listened to his music, since im only 15, but
its kinda weird/sad that hes not here.
I loved the thriller album tho, that was tight.

I remember when i was 5,I would go into my uncles room and get a video that had about 20 minutes of music videos of him...I always wanted to go and play and hang out with him, he just seemed to like to play with kids. and connected with kids. he attracts kids because hes kinda like a big kid. So anyways, i would watch the video rewind it, watch it, rewind it, go eat, watch it rewind it. thats all i remember. and moonwalking at parties while drunk hahah.

Man... it's just so sad! This poor guy had the most strange, unreal and hounded life of just about anyone in history. It really is no wonder that he shielded his children and himself in his later years - a bit of self protection from the madness that was his life!
I do not deny that he had gone a bit too far with his looks and some behaviors but geez...after living in the spotlight for 45 years of his life, there is no wonder he lived a very 'childlike' existence.
May this great man rest in peace. Lets hope the media and public are a bit more sympathetic to him in death than they were in life.

Like Lennon and McCartney, Michael's legacy and gift to us is, and always will be, his music. He wrote and performed some of the most beautiful songs ever written and brought great joy to many people. My favourite album is Off The Wall. My prayers and thoughts are with his children now. May God bless them richly.

I remember seeing him when he was very young on the Ed Sullivan Show back in the 60's. He was a talent then and he lived up to the accolades he got then. Yes he was a bit weird in his latter years of his career but we should be very blessed and proud that we shared the same time on this Planet with him. In his prime he was the best artist living and we always should remember what a marvelous entertainer he was. God Bless him and his family. We shall miss him.

A whole heap of us hired a bus to go to SouthEnd to a nightclub and we all sang and bopped to the Thriller album from London to Southend. What a great memory.
