If you had the chance, would you like to take a trip to space in your lifetime? Why or why not?

Virgin Galactic's founder, Richard Branson will commit another world first when he crews his aerospace vehicle at the air show EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2009 in Wisconsin next week.

To celebrate, we have an out of this world trip to Space Mountain for two flying on Virgin Atlantic from Sydney to Hong Kong return with three nights at the funky W Hong Kong and round trip transfers.

I cannot think of a more fascinating trip to take than to be able to encircle our Earth and see what very few others have been privileged enough to enjoy. I have long wished that I might be able to do so. To think that not so very long ago the Earths inhabitants thought the Earth was square. Now, we know differently and it would give me such a buzz to see the proof for myself although it can't be doubted at all.
By the way, could I bring the sweetest little woman in the Universe with me? My wife would also love to enjoy the same. We do everything together.

I would absolutely love going to space. I think the first thing I would do is open a can of Coke...and just have fun drinking it in mid air, floating around.


With that aside, I think Astronaut training and educating yourself in a field most know nothing about would be a privilege.

Being strapped into a space shuttle and blasting off the face of the planet would be awesome.

It has always been my dream. Something that can be grasped, but not in your reach so to speak. The mysteries and views that lie up there and just to see it first hand would be enough for me to be satisfied for the rest of my life.

It would be great to experience a place that is just so different from here. During my lifetime I want to experience as much as I can, and going to space would be a dream come true for me.
So many of my questions about space would be answered, and i wouldnt have to rely on other peoples observations, but my own.

I would go in the blink of an eye if I had the chance. I think space is the ultimate freedom - you have no gravity and can see the stars and the planets as they really are.
It would be exciting to touch the ozone layer and walk on the Kármán line (in a space suite naturally)
Then, why not, take the shuttle for a spin to the moon - hey NASA can I borrow the keys for a couple of weeks, I promise to bring it back.

Most definitely yes, I would take my Lovely Wife & we could celebrate our anniversary out in space plus being in zero gravity she could eat chocolate & not feel guilty.

Yes, but it may not be safe having me go along because I like to touch buttons and play with things a lot. If I went I would want to get out on the moon and stretch. I hear space bathrooms and food is a little awkward, but i'd give it a shot.

I would absolutely love to, and I have always dreamed of it. I am a Sci-fi fan and love the fact that women are now out there as well and have made the way for us ordinary people to one day MAYBE experience it ourselves. I would also be scared to death, but I would still go. Just to see our beautiful blue shining planet from out there would be worth all the risk. Maybe if we could all experience the beauty and the fragility of our planet way out there in space, the world might just become a peaceful place.
