I Need A Bit Of Help...?

Question

Well I'm currently writing a Sci-Fi that I want to get published, one day.

So, it basically starts off with a few families living deep in the, they shy away from humans because they are a different, well, species. They are called Frey and the are an ancient species that can manipulate the weather.

What I need your help with is, what do you think they should eat, wear and live in? I don't know if I should have them eating off animals because I'm not to sure what animals they could capture live in the Amazon Jungle, but if you think I should I'll do some research. I know I want them to eat wild berries, fruit etc. And should they live in huts? Made from straw, leaves and mud?

maybe they could find caves or something and they hunt anaconda's or elephants whichever would make for a more entertaining chase scene

Why dont you do some research about where you want them to live. Research the type of housing there is, and what type of wild, edible food there is.

Um this is such a cool idea! well I say they eat fruits and berries ect. Um wear like flowy sundresses made of leaves and stuff. And live in strw houses that have leaves for blinds! Good luck! :)

what kind of species are they?

I was gonna say for them to eat fruit. and I read father on ur paragraph and u thought so.
so hmm, they should live in a cave
under a great green mountain
where there are forest close by

and with a great big setting like that you can create conflict like their hunter.

basically if u want to write a story U need to watch a lot of diff movie about this and create different style, I don'[t think they should eat animal, too many movies around here that has its character eating animal.

Well they have a lot of rivers in the mazon so if they have one nera by they can fish, and I'm sure they could catch small prey like rabit (although I don't know if they have rabits) They could also have some kind of gardening system, like not a huge crop but maybe a little square thing in front of their hut/..? with vegetables or something.

As for what they live in, if you really want to get creative crazy you could have them live in a large tree or twisted trees that they hollowed out, or in tree house type things. The hut sounds like a good idea too though :)

I've always found researching is the best outcome to any project of intense cognitive activities. But as with any good Sci-Fi book, movie, or comic, all you simply need to do it sit back and exhale the ganja from your lungs and most of the time the ideas just pop into your head.

Oh, try not to think of food in your book either, usually you'll get distracted by your munchies and will end up in a food coma.

i think u should make them in the eyes of humans. make them so they have homes that look primative to humans... but the homes actually have advanced things inside that normal humans haveteven thought of. i dont mean stuff like ipods or mp3's but more like a more eficiant way to get water or food. or they have under ground living spaces. (huts above ground... actuall live quarters below....

now the food. you should make them have there own choices, kinda like humans. they have the choice to be vegetarians. like us. (im not one) or they can only eat meat... or they can eat both. .......... or you can make it so the males only eat meat and females eat veggies. or vse versa.

(my little idea...)
you can make it os that they eat an unkown type of plant. an animal plant. (you put the rest idea of that together if u want to...)
