What do you most like to take photographs of and why?

I love taking photos of Mt Egmont, New Zealand. I cant get enough of them!

The mountain is not too far away and it dominates the skyline in this area since it is a near perfect volcanic cone 2,518m high. The only other landform nearby are two low ranges that are old volcanic remains.

The cloud formations around the mountain are amazing at times, the weather and mood changes and frequently the mountain is hidden from view. When it is on display, it is majestic. In sunset it is beautiful when reflected off the ice or snow.

In summer the mountain is nearly bare of snow and from mid to late autumn the snow cover is deepening all through winter and melting rapidly from late November.

I also love taking photos of beautiful scenery, have just learnt how to do panoramic and photostitch and enjoy taking photos of lighthouses, flowers and animals.

I really like taking digital macro photos, those really close up ones. I'm not very good but I've been practicing on flowers and leaves and I think one day it might be good enough to frame. I also really like taking photos of buildings - getting the frame from a certain angle and really trying to make it look different to what you imagine. It's fun, I'm getting better slowly!

You have to select a team of artistic people
you have to come up with an idea that they will help you to accomplish
every time you do pictures you become bigger and bigger and so you can get better equipment, better models, better places... JUST LIKE A ROL GAME!
each time you photohop a picture and it happens to be great you feel a rush of happiness
you publish your images on magazines (guess this is applicable to many kinds of photography)
people will work for you for free (for many different reasons each one)
and its very difficult (I would say the most difficult kind of photography)

I really love nature, mostly macro photography. It's just really fun because you can't make nature pose for you. It's just more natural and real.

Mostly depends on what I'm in the mood for and whether or not Joy Division or Sunny Day Real Estate is in my ears at the time of shooting.

Most of the time it's things that have been abandoned or weather beaten in some way shape or form. Sometimes I go for more nature-ish shots. It really depends on my mood.

I love to take photos of sunrise and sunset. Its the most beautiful and spectacular time of the day. My current hobby is to take a photo of the sunset every single day for 1 year, from my birthday this year to next year. Once finished, Im going to choose one favourite from each day and make a giant collage of sunset photos and frame it.

I also love to take photos of my kids, have about 20 family albums full of photos.

Well there is this one osprey that I can't get enough of, he is my friend & allows me to get really close. I only have an 17-85mm lens so I have to get close.

I like to take family shots, however my family wont sit still & pose like the bird does. They are just a bit too wild I guess.

I like to photograph nature.
I do it because it brings out my inner child, I walk & climb, explore the world through different eyes. Seeing things through the camera lens makes everything seem new & full of wonder, every day.

My kids mostly, they are just so cute! I've recently bought myself a digital SLR so I'm teaching myself how to use it properly. I take it with me everywhere, and am starting to enjoy taking nature pics and landscapes.

I like taking pictures of beautiful scenes, mirages, peoples and events. When we grow older, we may forget these people/places or how they look. I remember after I moved to Australia, I almost forgot how my bestest buddy looked, which is really sad and horrible. But I remembered taking a picture of me and her so I was happy to see that and remember all the joy we had. Just like places and events.

i like to take pictures of my friends and family in poses and lighting's that make them look good. then i use photo shop to blot out the bad bits (pimples, blackheads ,cuts & scars) :o)

My favourite shoots are character studies and I like taking close up photographs of people who are near and dear to me as keepsakes.

The first camera I was gifted with was a Halina 110 when I was age 11 which was brought for me by my aunt returning from England. This particular camera was one with no zoom or additional features and had no focus either. Hence I learned to take wide lens shots invariably which were close ones. It later struck me that my aunt always knew what was best for me because until I retired from still photography these were my best and I would capture people I could whenever possible. However I have thrown three expensive cameras away including a Canon and now I don't wish to touch another camcorder either.

friends and family. i think pictures are suppose to capture moments so they will always be in ur memory. pictures of sunsets and plants are beautiful to look at,, but people you love are the most important thing in ur life and should be remembered and cherished forever...
