Do you think it's appropriate that hotel officials encourage 'free sex shows' in New York's Standard Hotel?

The plush Standard hotel in New York has become a tourist attraction as randy guests are performing sex acts in front of the floor-to-ceiling hotel windows.

Guests at the hotel have been spotted romping, drying off and even pleasuring themselves in full view of onlookers.

According to the New York Post, the hotel guests aren't the only ones getting in on the raunchy action.

"We don't discourage it. In actual fact, we encourage it," a friendly bellhop was quoted as saying.

What do you think? Do you think it's a bit of healthy exhibitionism or do you think it's taking blatant sexuality a little too far?

It depends. It is a private business and as long as they follow proper safety procedures and keep minors out then why wouldn't it? I believe in freedom and capitalism and feel that businesses are operating and they can sink or swim on their own merits by the basis of their business plan and their practices. Obviously it is working and they have clientele that like the hotel.

Is it for me? NO
should it be allowed? YES, they should be allowed to do what they wish as they are a private business and they are operating within the law (that should be limited and encourage business growth and prosperity)

Bottom line: their guests don't care, their staff doesn't care, why would you care? Who forces anyone to go here? No one is forced, thats who.

No since the intent is to destroy what a community is attempting to build. A couple of Private Investigators outside taking pictures would put an end to the exhibitionists quickly.

It couldn't be as common as the article implies, since it would have been all over the news here - and not just the NY Post!

Those of us who live here know that the NY Post loves this kind of hysterical articles. Once you've lived here a while, you learn to take them with a grain of salt!

They take something that has happened once, or only a few times, and make it seem like a big problems, like it happens frequently.

Don't take this too seriously!

They have the right has consenting adults to romp around with each other or themselves. My only problem is the public should not be forced to watch it. So they could be a little bit discreet but they probably get off on having random people watch. I guess if you are in that area don't look up if you don't want to see it. I have to be honest I would definitely stop to look.

As long as it keep withing the city's and state's guidelines, it would be appropriate.
