Can you SMS to any country (for free) using the AIM app for iPod/iPhone?

Can you SMS for free to Australia, Malaysia and Singapore using the AIM app? Do you have to live in America to use the AIM app? Can you get replies or do you have to include a reply number in your message?

I know most of the countries have some free sms gateways with respective service provider google it and find some free sms gateways then you can send free sms to respective mobile number using email.

eg: In Sri Lanka for the Mobitle thier free sms gateway is.
[e-mail]

you have to do find a gateway and log into yahoo mail and send a email to that number..
