Are American out of touch with popular sport then the rest of the world?

American football, Cheer-leading and even Baseball / Softball
Are not big sports in many country around the world
I also think that as there already gymnastics and diving, trampolining that we don't need cheer-leading in the Olympic games which it is not

The U.S. plays all of the popular world sports, but uses most of its energy on American sports.
Football is only one example of an American sport that is not played in most of the world, basketball, volleyball, and even baseball are big in many other countries.
Cheer leading is not a major sport in the U.S.
There are many sports and only a few can be considered a major sport.
