Books like these (adventure/action/teen)?

Hey everyone

I was just wondering if you could recommend some books like these:

The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling
The Lioness Rampage - Tamora Pierce
Graceling - Kristin Cashore

PLEASE no Twilight or Mortal Instruments series!
I'm looking for something with action and adventure, maybe fantasy, but also has a nice romance plot within it.

Also, does anyone know if Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series is any good?


I'm also looking for books like Melina Marchetta's (I've read them all), or something just really well written.

Preferably not thriller or horror, but they're okay. But it definitely needs romance :)

well i like the mortal instruments books but otherwise there are better books. if you're looking for adventure and a bit of fantasy you could try Night World by L.J Smith. She has some great ideas and adventures in those books, i really got into them. And there is romance because it's all set around a prophecy and the soul mate principle, bringing complete strangers together and changing them according to love, no matter how much they hate each other.
