Anyone know how you calculate tractor tyre % condition? Many 2nd hand tractor sales refer to tyres as 60% etc.?

when tyres are new the tread depth is say 1/4 inch deep well a used tyre is the percentage of the original depth most only guess but anything over 40% is a pretty good tyre
