I think you solved your own problem , you don't play a lot of matches , but it is not the only problem .
You don't have to think much if you are winning , but if you are having problems closing your games it means that your opponent is reading you well , and this is when thinking takes place ,see what your opponent is doing , were is she going , what shots is she sending your way,also notice what is your opponent avoiding , is she running around her backhand ? Is she trying to get an angle so she can send it down to your backhand ?
In other words don't give your opponent what she is looking for , take the time to bounce the ball between serves to think about the last point or at the very least at changeovers , if you are having a tough time don't run around to the other side , take your time to think what points you had trouble with , but if in the other hand you are winning then keep doing what works and try to read any change on your opponent's game since she will be thinking what she could do next to try to trow you off.
