Is 300,000 ks allot for a car?

Question

does it meen the more ks on car the sooner it will die? but if its looked after and serviced all the time will it last longer?

its a ls1 engine (v8) 2001 model holden

Two arguments for this question, one is that it will be worn out and need lots of repairs.
The other is that everything is used regularly and will be in good condition if servicing was regular and professional.
A V8 with that many kilometres on it however would be marginal, if you buy it, knock the price down because of that and be prepared to spend on a recondition on the LS1.
Me personally wouldn't buy it unless it was really really cheap like $2500 or around thereabouts.
FYI I drive a 2008 FG XR8 Falcon that is just 12 months old and has 22,000km on it.

depends on the Make, modeal and Year
eg: Nissan Atlima 2009 3.5 could do 450,000kms minimum maybe 700,000kms at max.

Eg: My BMW X6 could only do about 400,000kms, reason BMW want ppl to buy a car every four years or so. but the main reason is its V8(mine) (can get a V6) is so powerful that after a while it will just collapse. The car is built to last, but the engine would not last forever.

Yep it is a lot. Anymore than 15,000km per year is above average. I personally would not touch the car unless it is cheap and has a full service history. My 1978 HZ ute has 430,000 on it, but I know the engine was rebuilt. Our 1998 AU has 220,000.

Depends on who owned a car.

If he/she was enough love and spent money the car, you'll be able to enjoy another 300,000 ks.

Anyway, you have to look after the car with love.
