Why is the media wasting their time knocking Andre Agassi?

I've noticed lately Yahoo headlines selectively picking parts out of a book by Andre Agassi. So what?! The guys 39, has a family and is retired.

The drugs they refer him to taking aren't performance enhancing drugs like steroids and weren't taken during the peaks of his career, and does anyone really care if his mullet hairdo was a wig. People loved him more for his focus and skill on the tennis court.

Once again media journalists show just how low and pathetic they'll go just to get a story. All the media are doing is ridiculing themselves by attempting to ridicule someone much greater.

Well i think the major problem is that he never manned-up and lied about his crystal meth situation. And i guess its just so shocking that he took that, speed, hated tennis, and wore a wig. All too much for one book, i guess. lol =P

But yeah those people just really have no life if thats all they try to do. I still look up to Andre because he has done so many great things in his life, such as opening a school in "the ghetto" where underprivelaged children go to school, and become successful and happy. He is one of the biggest ambassadors of the sport ever, and giving children an oppuratunity is a great thing regardless that he did all those things prior to it.

idk at one point andre agassi was tennis, and him doing drugs ruins the unblemished image of tennis elegance.

Because he has just released a book and revealed all - so now he is fair game for the media. Must be a slow news week I think.

Andre wearing a wig makes me second guess who wore the pants in the marriage.
Even if the drugs he took weren't performance enhancing, they did damage to him.

I think they should just leave him alone. I mean yeah, it's bad he didn't tell everyone he took crystal meth. But that was a long time ago and they should just forget about it.

I totally agree on that part where you say that the media would do anything to get aa good story, but taking drugs in any professional sports is ILLEGAL. I really want to see that ******* story off the news.
