Who thinks the Captain AND vice Captain should talk to the ref.?

I think the captain and vice-captain only, should be allowed to talk to the Ref's.How can one person (captain) know what's going on around him if 3-4 ref's don't know.Yes the vice-captain has a say but only when the Captain is off the field. In other words NOT only does the Captain have to watch every-body in his team, but also the opposition as well as the Ref's." The function of the Captain speaking with the referee is to maintain the flow of the game and emphasize the responsibility (as well as the authority) of the referee with respect to the rules of the game. It is not to whinge to the ref about his calls, and certainly not to influence him.

Vice captains and everyone else can speak to the Captain, so there is no reason for the Captain to be any more unclear than anyone else. My experience is that the referee and his assistants are doing the best they can, just like all the players on the field [who, typically, make plenty of mistakes per game themselves]. So, short of safety concerns, I reckon everybody ought to focus on his own business and try to win the game. Whinging about the referee is the last refuge of losers.
