There is no such thing as a "registry fixer"
There are a bunch of fraud programs that claim to "fix" your registry, or "speed up" your computer. Some may clean out old unneeded items. Some are actually harmful & malicious, called malware. They are making a ton of money from unsuspecting victims.
There are however, registry cleaners. They delete old entries left-over from uninstalled programs that don't cleanup after themselves & other invalid or obsolete entries. This is useful, but hardly necessary. They have little effect on your computer's overall speed & performance. I use my registry cleaner every couple months, if I've been uninstalling a lot of programs or making a lot of changes to my system.
CCleaner (CrapCleaner) is a great program & one of it's tools is a registry cleaner. I used to use it for that purpose, but found it was causing small changes to some settings that were more of an annoyance than a problem. So I switched to using Eusing Registry Cleaner instead. It does a better job. I've used both for years. Both are free & well-respected. Get them from the official home site:
