My constipation got worse with pregnancy. I take benefiber twice a day for that. I did not have any vaginal bleeding and I do not think constipation can cause vaginal bleeding.
Severe cramping with medium to heavy bleeding is a sign of miscarriage. There is no reason for you to worry yet. Spotting is fairly common in early pregnancy and you may be having just that. take it easy. go to the ER if you start to cramp and bleeding becomes heavy.
Good luck!

When I had my MC in January I had no cramping at all so that is not always a sign that it is not a MC. Mine just started like what you are describing, but even if you go to the ER there is nothing they can do but check your HGC and you have to wait two days to have it done again and see if it is dropping.
ETA -The color of the blood is not important. mine started out brown which is what some say is old blood, then turned to red.

I would go to the hospital if it's pretty heavy bleeding or kind of what your period is like. If it's reallyyyy light and not very dark I would wait and see what happens.

Also, not to scare you or anything but cramping doesn't always occur during a miscarriage.

Good luck hun! Stay positive alot of women bleed during early pregnancy.

Bleeding is more common then most people think. If it was just what you wiped and no more then you are fine. You would be in a lot of pain and almost incapacitated if it was a miscarriage. I wouldn't worry at all unless the bleeding is a heavy flow and not stopping.

You should probably call your doctor. I don't think you should trust the information you get from Yahoo Answers. Depending on people's responses, you may worry yourself over something normal. Stress is never good. Definitely give your doctor a call.

    Good luck!

i bled.. i had brown spotting in the beginning which didnt really bother me too much..it was so light.. and it completely went away for 2 straight weeks and then one day i bled really bad. it was bright red and alot... there were never any cramps or clots... and my baby is still in there healthy. i was scared too.. i went to the ER and it really eased my mind... i came in all crying and shaking and was so relieved just to know everything was still ok..... you should go just so you dont have to stay freaking out. i was really glad i went

Calm down!! What colour was the blood?

Spotting in early pregnancy is quite common... but the blood should be a dark brown colour. With my first pregnancy, I spotted for about a week...my aunty who is a midwife, told me that if the blood turned bright red, or if there was more than about a two inch sized spot at one time, or if I experienced cramping with it, to call the hospital to be checked out. It doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong even if you are experiencing the above, but always better to be safe than sorry.

Having said all that, even if it is only a small amount of brown blood with no cramping, if you are very worried, it is ALWAYS worth getting checked more for your own peace of mind than because of a big concern about the baby.

    Good luck

With my five pregnancies, I have had bleeding with the last 3 of them. I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant right now and had bleeding until my second trimester. My prior two pregnancies ended in miscarriage.

With my current pregnancy, I bled red blood every time I went #2 and it freaked me out. I have been horribly constipated my entire pregnancy, and because I had been bleeding, I had been given permission to take a child's dose of a stool softener. I can't remember what brand it was. (I couldn't keep down enough liquids to simply take fiber.)

I was told that the blood I had after having a bowel movement was probably related to an irritated cervix, and while it wasn't dangerous - they wanted me to have piece of mind since I was freaking out because of my prior two miscarriages. I truly thought I would miscarry since I bled for so long, but I didn't.

With my miscarriages, when I started bleeding, I started out spotting brown blood. With my first miscarriage, I spotted brown blood for over a week prior to bleeding red. When I had the red blood, I also had clots and mild cramping. With my last miscarriage, I could tell I knew when I would start bleeding. I had mild contractions for an hour before I started bleeding.

Even if you do pass clots or have cramps, it still doesn't mean that you will miscarry. My mom, mother-in-law and aunt all had a pregnancy with heavy bleeding and ended up having a healthy baby.

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. It's not fair. It's true that the ER won't help much this early on in a pregnancy. All they'll do is make sure that you don't have an ectopic pregnancy and will check your cervix to see if it is opening. While it may give peace of mind, they will not do anything to prevent a miscarriage.

Right now, it'd probably be best to stay home (unless you start cramping) so you don't risk catching a virus. Spend the evening with your feet up and try to relax the best you can. Tomorrow, call your OB/GYN or doctor and insist that they check your hcg levels to see if they are doubling the way they should be. You can also ask them about progesterone suppositories or if it may be beneficial to take baby aspirin. I wish you the best.

I had a little bit of bright red blood the night before I miscarried. The next morning, I felt like I was getting my period, then, in the afternoon when i went to the bathroom, i passed a lot of really clotted blood. It all went downhill from there. I was 6.5 weeks.

I wouldn't worry too much about pushing too hard. you can't push your baby out (but you might give yourself hemorrhoids!lol) Bright red blood is a bad sign, as is cramping. A little brown blood is perfectly normal. Could be residual implantation blood, or your cervix (which is very susceptible to bleeding during pregnancy ie after sex) may have bled a little, which is also really common.

I know its really hard not to be paranoid about miscarrying, but try to relax and not let it stress you out. If it happens, it happens and it wouldn't be your fault.
    Best of luck to you
