Or should it be run along the principle of natural selection (ie companies should either adapt to the market, or should be allowed to become extinct)?

When you think deeply about it, does it not surprise you that the Victorian capitalists supported Darwin, while Joseph Stalin opposed Darwin?

The national economy should be planned in accordance with the governance of the individual states. The United States Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches should be run by the Governors of each state with their Central Office located in the center of the country. The Chiefs of Staff for all the branches of the Armed Services should be there too. St.Louis would be a good spot for the Capital.

The Electoral College should be suspended permanently and the elective offices should be determined simply by popular vote. One citizen = one vote.
