Any controversy about Jackie Joyner Kersee would have stemmed from her husband, Bob Kersee. He was the coach of Florence Griffith Joyner, who was the target of drug allegations for most of the successful part of her career and the rest of her life. Those who accused Flo Jo of illegal tactics pointed a finger straight at her coach, who also happened to be JJK's husband. Some of those people thought it was a logical leap to assume that Bob would do for his wife what he did for Flo Jo. However, as has already been mentioned here, nothing official was ever found about either woman.
