How can I get my wife to like cricket ?

Question

I have never been a great player, but I love cricket, played junior county cricket and have played decent club cricket for 10 years. Then I got married. and now it seems I have to miss half the season for "family trips", weddings, birthdays ... drives me mad !!

How can I get her to love it ? how did your husband get you to like it, or at least come watch you so you can spend more time together !

Here's the deal. Every time she comes to play/watch cricket, she gets -enthusiastic- oral gratification from you afterwards. You can tell her the deal, or simply tell her it makes you so hot you can't wait to go down on her after the game.

I don't care that it's manipulation, or positive reinforcement training. You get what you want, she gets what she wants, and everyone is happy. I would like cricket (even GOLF) if hubby would do that for me. I love frickin LOVE cricket like my frickin gorram best friend.

That's the price of getting married mate! I was forced to watch rugby league as my husband played, but I got to like it eventually. I have always loved cricket so it didn't bother me that he played. Anyway, apart from watching it on TV & asking her to join you I don't think there's any way to force the issue apart from pointing out that it is only fair that you should have a say in what you do in your leisure time

family time aint so bad..take turns..tell her to watch some cricket with you once in a while as part of "family time"
u cant really convince a girl to like a sport she doesn't already like
but try it, in order for her to agree, u have to agree to some of her conditions as well

Generally speaking, women's attention spans are too limited to be able to cope with a cricket match, especially a test match. Short of having her brain removed and replaced with a bloke's, I think your stuffed mate.

If you had put your foot down from the start, you might have had a chance; but now that she has "tasted blood", your chances of changing things are about zero!

There's always divorce, of course!lol.

I had a few quiet drinks and happened to watch a ball tearer with my wife who wasn't into cricket one night and she was hooked.
I suggest getting a copy of a great one day game and watching it toegether (pretend it is on live though if you can for suspense) Good luck..

offer to give it up!...no kidding , every time the crickets on tell her you are not going to watch but would rather do or watch something she wants too instead! It will only take a few go's and suddenly she'll come around to , not only letting you watch but also watching with you....and then I leave the rest up to you.........!!!!!!!1
