Is it stupid to buy a car with 300,000ks on it for$8500?

its a holden wh caprice 1999 model. the engine is a ls1 v8. the body is in mint condition,the interior is like brand new the car looks brand new!!!!
the car was owned buy a real estate agent that's why it has heaps of ks,he says the car itself runs like new,and it has been serviced every time it has been due ive seen the receipts. so what do you think?

no way ! dont forget other things that wear and tear kill ! motor for a start , gearbox or auto transmision, suspension components including shocks springs and bushes , brakes and brake rotors. it might look new but i doubt it will be very tight and those big luxury commodores dont hold value as well as the other model in the range. if you must have it try a test drive on a siimilar year and model with lower kms and see what you think then . ls1 are also known to chew oil so if a service has been skiped its very likely the motor could have been starved of oil. any way happy motoring

yea im not buying it know im gonna save a bit more and get a 2002 model with lower ks. chers mate.
