Why are so many people murdered in churches? Why isn't "God's house" safe?

There's been so many church murders in the past few years. Here's a few I can remember off the top of my head:

There was an elderly woman, obsessed with her pastor, who killed the church secretary out of jealousy for the amount of time the secretary spent alone with the pastor.

In another instance, a young woman met a man at her church's young adults ministry gathering. A romantic relationship began to develop, but the girl tried to break it off. The man, who had a history of violence followed her to work and shot her to death.

Lastly, a Catholic priest discovered that the church janitor of 17 years was a felon, and didn't legally qualify to work in the church connected to the Catholic school next door. When confronted, the janitor stabbed the priest to death.

You said ''many people'' murdered in churches, yet you only name 3 instances. No one has EVER said church members were perfect. They are human and have the same emotions, etc, as anyone. Many more people have been murdered in post offices, schools and MANY other types of business than in a church. As you point out, very few people have been murdered in a church.

Luke 14:26

"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."

So "Jesus" taught hate. You have to 'hate' to follow Jesus...No place like his place!

My question is why aren't more Xians out in the dangerous parts of the world, following the theme of being with the people who are sick and need a physician.

For me, it's because I'm scared. heh

Not much happens in the Vatican. They can afford a lot of security. Most churches can't, and they are places that give rise to a lot of emotions.

It isn't just the churches; it's everywhere. Evil is working overtime on this earth. It isn't safe anywhere anymore.

All things are meant to happen for reasons, reasons that we may never know. That is why it is important to have faith. Just because it is a church does not mean that God is in the building.

Angry people are drawn to religion. Then they can say that God backs them up in their anger.

God hates religion. The only religion acceptable to God is to care for widows, orphans and the lost in their distress.

These things in which you are recording for us to read is nothing new. This has been happening for many, many years. It is just new to us. The incidents that are being reported (and exposed for that matter) is just one of countless crimes being committed that were at one time behind closed doors. However, Jehovah God, will bring the evil things to light at his appointed time and what you wrote above is a testimony to it. This scripture is often forgotten, but it won't be after you read it.

Hebrews 4:13 says, "And there is not a creation that is not manifest to his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting."
